The 60F and 50F profiles were introduced to offer a very low noise fan with high efficiency for the Air Cooled Condenser and Cooling Tower applications. Compared with standard Fiberglass blades for 60F and 50F, the largest monolithic pultruded blade ever produced, allows up to 10 dB(A) noise reduction keeping an extremely high efficiency. Keeping the same shape and characteristics or 50F, the 50L option in extruded Aluminium, allows to face high temperature requirements.
Available from 12ft up to 40ft, in standard and reverse mounting types. Compared to standard molded blades this configuration provides a very high resistance against fatigue loads and failures, commonly seen in the blade shaft area thanks also to the introduction of reinforcements configurations used in the wind turbine blades.
The AX hub construction consists of one steel disk with a connection flange to facilitate the installation on the drive shaft. The blades are connected to the hub with extruded aluminum pillow blocks. Our gap ring regulator allows a +/- 2” adjustment of the fan diameter either to minimize the tip clearance to increase performance or to increase the clearance to compensate for fan cylindrical ring imperfections.
Since 1999, Cofimco has supplied more than 3000 fans with 60F and 50F profiles in different jobsites and applications all around the world.
